Welcome
to our Cyberhome.

The 2002 Olympic Winter Games were held in Salt Lake City, Utah in February 2002.  It goes without saying, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to attend the Olympics when held practically in our own back yard.

The web page of the Salt Lake Olympic Games can be found HERE, or the general Olympics web page can be found HERE.

We had tickets to Men's Short Figure Skating, Ski Jumping, Men's Luge, Cross Country, and medals ceremony, but Deb got strep so we missed a bit.  Still, it was an amazing time and TV didn't do the visual spectacle justice.

Here are a few of the first photos.  I know it takes a couple minutes to load.  Deal with it.  Some of the low light photos look OK live, but don't scan well.  I've put some up here, but will continue to work on getting the colors and contrast to balance properly.  Considering these were taken with an idiot camera, not my SLR, they turned out remarkably well.

Alexi Yagdin flying high on his way to the gold medal.
Deb at Utah Olympic Park.

Elvis has NOT left the building.  I still say he should have had the Gold in 1994. And a case could be made for 1998.

Greg at Utah Olympic Park.
Japanese Drummers at the Utah Olympic Plaza in downtown SLC.
Acapella Bobsled - street entertainers at Olympic Plaza in downtown SLC.
At the Luge Track finish line.
More Luge track.
The ski jump hill.  This facility is actually visible as you drive by on I-80.
Sunrise on the mountain. And it's even colder than it looks.
A photo I REALLY need to brighten. Medals ceremony for the USA sweep in half-tube snowboarding. Look at the 3 US flags!
